Code of Ethics

Confidentially and data protection
All sessions are completely confidential. I will not share any information by you to a third party without prior permission from you.( see safe guarding below for an exception to this)
In line with GDPR regulations, the information you provide to me will be kept in a secure filing system accessed only by me. I am required to keep the information obtained through our sessions for seven years before shredding.
Please note that in accordance with the terms set out by the national society and national counselling society, that my work is supervised. My supervisors role is to ensure that I am working ethically and professionally. Any work that I discuss with my supervisor remains confidential and is in line with the regulations.
Safe guarding
Our sessions are always confidential; however, I will need to break confidentiality if you are at risk of harm to yourself or to another person.
Intoxication
I am not able to provide therapy to anyone who attends under the influence of alcohol or non-prescriptive drugs. I reserve the right the right to discontinue sessions if any client becomes abusive or disruptive.
Commitment and integrity
There is no guarantee that you will obtain the results you desire with hypnotherapy. If I, or you , do not feel that your needs are being met, I will endeavour to refer you to a more appropriate support elsewhere.
Duration of sessions
Consultations can take anything up to 80 minutes in length. Therapy sessions will be 50 minutes in length. Incorporating a quick wellbeing chat at the start. Please arrive promptly for your appointment which will be held at my clinic at the given address or over zoom
Fees
All fees are to be paid 48 hours prior to your appointment via bank details provided
Cancellations
Please provide 48 hours notice of cancellation. When fees apply , 48 hours of cancellation will incur a charge of 50% of the full fee and if less than 48 hours notice is given this will incur the full session fee to be charged.
