Turning Lived Experience into Life-Saving Knowledge

At Nurture From Within, we believe that education is the most powerful tool for protection. Our workshops are born from a deep personal commitment to ensure that the signs of abuse and coercive control are never missed.

By combining professional safeguarding expertise with lived experience, we provide trauma-informed sessions designed that support cultural change, rebuild self-trust, and increase awareness of abusive patterns before they escalate. Whether you are a professional, a parent, or a young person, these sessions offer the clarity and confidence needed to move back into your power.

Laurella & Libby’s Legacy Workshop

Recognising Patterns, Empowering Action

Delivered by Lisa Squire and Jodie Edith, this two-hour prevention-focused workshop brings together a powerful blend of lived experience and professional safeguarding expertise. Grounded in real life cases, the session explores how abusive and predatory behaviours develop when early warning signs are missed.

Key focus areas:

  • Recognising patterns of abusers and coercive control.
  • Understanding non-contact sexual offences.
  • Identifying risk early through real-world case studies.
  • Navigating safe reporting pathways, including third-party reporting.

Best for: Leaders, professionals, and frontline staff looking to shift organisational culture from silence to action.

The Laurella Workshop

Recognising Coercive Control Early

Created in loving memory of Laura and Ella, this workshop exists because coercive control is often present long before it is recognised. Delivered by Jodie Edith (Clinical Manager and Counsellor), this session provides the “light-bulb moments” where participants finally find the language for experiences that felt unsafe but were hard to name.

Key focus areas:

  • Understanding the law surrounding coercive control.
  • Learning to trust your instincts when something feels “off.”
  • Removing shame and restoring self-trust.
  • Clear signposting to specialist organisations and confidential support.

Best for:

  • Women and teenagers seeking to understand abusive patterns and reclaim their power in a non-judgmental space.
  • Professionals, communities and anyone who wants to be part of making change happen.

Teenage Red Flags Workshop

Empowering the Next Generation

A 90-minute workshop designed specifically for young people, held online. This session provides the safe, welcoming space I wish I’d had access to as a teenager—a place to ask questions and have open conversations about modern relationships.

Key focus areas:

  • Spotting the Signs: Identifying red and green flags in relationships.
  • Digital Safety: Navigating social media toxicity and its impact on dating.
  • Self-Worth: Building self-esteem, confidence, and firm boundaries.
  • Safety Nets: Knowing exactly where to find help and support.

Best for:

  • Teenagers looking to build essential skills to protect themselves and their peers.
  • Ideal for schools, colleges and universities.

Dates for workshops to support parents in supporting their teenagers will be announced soon.
